Materials: Pure Silver, Sterling Silver, 18 kt redgold, Orange moonstone
Dimensions: ringsize 56 apprx
From the serie Kasteelvrouwe (Lady Castle)
If there ever was a time when appearances represented who you were, this was during the Middle Ages. Colorful fabrics and jewels expressed your identity and status.
The jewelry from the series 'Lady Castle' of Goldsmith Sonja Hunefeld are therefore for the woman who is not afraid to show herself off. The unusual combinations of pure materials are reserved to the confident, strong woman with an eye for detail and refinement.
For this series, Sonja uses the ancient granulation technique adapted to the materials with which she works now. By using this trick of the trade for granulation, she can fuse metals that normally don’t fuse together. The design refers to a subtle wink to the Middle Ages. All pieces of jewelry have their own medieval name.
